More than 5,000 copies of Farm Hands have been sold throughout the country.

Farm Hands is a “good read.” That’s the opinion of the University at Buffalo, which has named this self-published book to a list of 48 books of “unrequired reading” that have inspired inquiry, pleasure, and a renewed engagement with civic life.
In cooperation with the UB Libraries, the UB Undergraduate Academies announce the “Good Books” project, a list of books undergrads should read in their leisure during their college career. “We hope that in the course of a student’s college career this list of ‘unrequired reading’ will ‘connect the dots’ between school and life and will inspire intellectual growth and a habit of life-long learning,” UB officials stated in announcing the list.
